Grass with Dew and Leaves

Taken a few days ago on my morning walk near our small pond. I used my 24-70mm kit lens and hand held the camera (I should have taken the tripod). I used "magic wand" and "gaussian blur" on the background. The kit lens has f5.6 as its widest open aperture, which was not enough to satisfactorily blur the backgrouond (unlike my macro lens).

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Wonderful shot and use of post processing to bring attention to the foreground. Your previous shots of floral have been just fantastic and I have enjoyed each one!

I love the colors in this - that green is breathtaking. You processed this nicely as well to blur the background and highlight the subject. Beautiful....
