Lines - Canna Tropicana

I took this photo for the theme "lines" in a photo club. It is not as sharp as I would like, but, am posting it as it is bright and different from my usual photos.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Anita have you grown this stunning plant?? Its name is Canna Tropicana and if you plant it on a mound where the sun can back light it you will be dazzled by the gorgeous colors all through the summer. Lovely ,lovely lines.

@maxine: Thanks so much for giving me the name of this lovely Canna. No, I did not grow it. I took the photo at Longwood Gardens, a stunning garden in the area. I am growing regular red Cannas for the first time this year, and will make a note of Canna Tropicana for the future. Here in Pennsylvania, we have to dig up the Cannas in the fall and replant them in the spring as the winters are too cold. Again, thanks! :-)
