Thistle BudPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 3 August 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Don't remember which Thistle this was. I love its jewel-like appearance. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Distinctive detail and wonderful composition, Anita. 4 Aug 2008 10:15am David Ross from Bryn Mawr, PA, United StatesThe background (and saturation?) create an "egg" that would put Faberge to shame. I enjoyed thinking about the choices you _could_ have made (in composition) that would would have weakened the over-all effect 5 Aug 2008 8:26pm Frida from SwedenIt's a great shot and the "egg" is so lovely. Great colours and details. I'm not so sure about the green leaf in the bottom I think that it's a bit disturbing. But that's IMHO 15 Oct 2008 7:25pm |
