Zinnia BudPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 2 August 2008 in Plant & Nature. Taken outdoors, tripod, macro lens. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

GJC from Kyoto, JapanVery clever how you have the bud and the flower in the same shot. Nice work. 2 Aug 2008 6:43am Kylie Greenan from Richmond, AustraliaBeautiful macro, stunning colours, great compo, a great image. 2 Aug 2008 9:52am Monte Stevens from Fort Collins, United StatesNice macro. I like how you included the flower in the background, adding bright color. 2 Aug 2008 12:02pm Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesThis is a gorgeous macro and so effective with the open flower behind - great DOF! 2 Aug 2008 4:42pm marc battault from clermont ferrand, Francebeatiful macro, the colours are very beautifuls !great shot ! 2 Aug 2008 5:33pm Stéphane from Lyon, FranceHi Anita ! A terrific shot with so beautiful colours ! Wow ! Bye ! 2 Aug 2008 6:32pm Will from Gainesville, United Statesgreat macro...awesome color and composition:) 2 Aug 2008 6:42pm David Ross from Bryn Mawr, PA, United StatesWelcome back. The leaves are like wings, the blurring of the bloom behind gives a sense of depth. So, I see the youngster flying through the sky over the flowers below. (Too many fantasy novels while I was growing up.) Lovely choices in composition and DOF. 2 Aug 2008 10:24pm Paul Michko from Exton, PA, United StatesYou are doing some incredible work these days, Anitia. I love this composition. Rather then distract, the bokehed color in the background enhances the forground bud. I love this. 4 Aug 2008 10:17am Mireille from Caromb, FranceReally beautiful photo! The colours are splendid, and the zinnias colours are superb, too! Bravo Anita and thank you. 5 Aug 2008 8:17am |
