*****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!*****

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Monique from Koh Samui, Thailand

I love your flowerpictures! I found out that some people don't like a full black background, but I think it makes the flower more stand out. Great colours and lighting.

@Monique: Thanks for you comments and for visiting! I have mixed feelings about the black background. I wouldn't use it for all my flower photos, but, sometimes it works really well.

Wow! Beautiful flower! I've been trying to wonder how it looks like for ages! The blue background makes the flower seem it's glowing though.... Nice series by the way

It's sad that this beautiful blossom last but a day! Wonderful composition and placement of the flower within the frame. I like the black, non-distracting background. Perfect to emphasize the gorgeous color and shapes of the flower. Excellent.

@don: Thank you so much for your comments. I'm glad you like this photo. I, too, like the black background, but, I want to experiment with different backgrounds for those times I take flower photos indoors. This is a lovely little flower.
