Lily BudsPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 12 July 2008 in Plant & Nature. Taken yesterday morning. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Betty from New Jersey, United StatesI love the soft colors in your photos, Anita. Beautiful. 12 Jul 2008 11:45am @Betty: Thank you so much, Betty! don from spokane, United StatesA fine close up of this beautiful blossom. I especially like the muted colors and the textures you're captured. 12 Jul 2008 2:46pm @don: Thank you for visiting and commenting. Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesI love the subtle colors and I really like the fact that the blooms are not yet open. 12 Jul 2008 4:40pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomLovely subtle colors, and the diagonal framing is also very good. 12 Jul 2008 5:07pm David from Bryn Mawr, United StatesI enjoy the illusion that the second bud could be a mirror image of the first; and that the tip of a back petal on the front bud could be a drop of water. 12 Jul 2008 6:08pm leslie from norwich, United KingdomBeautiful colors, well taken shot. Would make a good canvas print 12 Jul 2008 6:27pm @leslie: Thank you, Leslie. I appreciate your comment! Marcie from United StatesNice soft colors. They're almost more exciting before they've bloomed. 12 Jul 2008 6:31pm @Marcie: These bloom into gorgeous pink flowers, which I haven't been able to adequately capture. The buds are easier to photograph. Francesc B. from région parisienne, FranceGreat shot... I like your angle and these soft colors. 13 Jul 2008 12:39pm @Francesc B.: Thank you so much for visiting and commenting. :-) Paul Michko from United StatesVery nice detail and colors, Anita. I would like to see a slightly different angle to give more separation between the two closed flowers. 14 Jul 2008 10:25am |
