Clematis 2Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 28 June 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

@Marie Le Corre: Thank you for your specific comments, and for visiting my photoblog. Koushiro~光子郎 from Singapore, SingaporeWow! Great colours! You really are really good with the macro! And your interest for photography really matches your interest to grow flowers! 28 Jun 2008 8:16am @Koushiro~光子郎: Thank you so much. Yes, I'm very happy that my two interests converge so nicely! @aragem: Glad you like it. Thank you for visiting! António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalIt's a good photo but Clematis is a much better one. 28 Jun 2008 10:05am @António Pires: Thaniks for sharing your preference. I find it fascinating that different people prefer different photos. I don't know which I prefer. I have another photo like this one, but using a smaller aperture, so the petals are more in focus. Again, I don't know which I prefer. Francesc B. from région parisienne, FranceFantastic details... good and original macro of this clematis' heart.Lovely color of the petals on background... congratulations, Anita. 28 Jun 2008 10:45am @Francesc B.: Thank you for telling me what you like about the photo. It is most helpful. And, thanks for visiting my photoblog! @shahab: Thank you for your enthusiastis comments. :-) Helma from Tehran, Iranwow .. really beautiful flowers ... lovely framed ! nice capture ... thanks. 28 Jun 2008 11:49am @Helma: Thank you for your specific comments and for visiting my photoblog!! Betty from New Jersey, United StatesFantastic macro, Anita! The flower looks like it has it's own light! Beautiful. 28 Jun 2008 11:50am @Betty: That's what I thought, too. thanks. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesLooks like fireworks in the thumbnail but even more spectacular as a full photo! 28 Jun 2008 12:26pm @Earnest: Thanks. So glad you like it. Eric Fry from Houston, TX, United StatesThat is a fantastic photo! I love the details contrasted against the rich dark background. Ecellent work! 28 Jun 2008 12:31pm @Eric Fry: Thank you for visiting and commenting. I'm glad you like this photo. :-) I, too, like the light details against the blurred, dark background dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Stateswonderful macro! amazing color and composition! 28 Jun 2008 1:55pm @dj.tigersprout: Thank you for visiting my photoblog. I appreciate your comments and am glad you like the photo. :-) @Eleftheria!: Thank you. I'm glad you like it. :-) Marcie from United StatesBeautiful color! I don't think I've seen clematis as deeply colored as this. 28 Jun 2008 7:16pm @Marcie: I may have saturated it to look more blue than in real life. I'm not just trying to reproduce flowers, but to bring out their beauty. @Hamid.R: Thank you for visiting and commenting. :-) @Namaki: Thank you! Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesLooks a bit like fireworks on a deep, dark night! 29 Jun 2008 1:22am @Ron: This will be my vesion of a fireworks photo. :-) @Saeed: Thank you! David from Bryn Mawr, United StatesI had the same reactions as Kerri and Betty -- so it's the way you saturated the photo that gave the tendrils that inner glow and the almost psychedelic background. Interesting how the impact on the viewer changes with its size (thumbnail vs. regular image) -- I wonder how a wall poster would have affected me in my college days. 29 Jun 2008 10:08pm GJC from Kyoto, JapanMagnificent view. The colors are superb, as everyone has already said, but I like the composition as well. 30 Jun 2008 4:35am Paul Michko from United StatesWOW!!! This one really pops. Great contrast here, Anita. 2 Jul 2008 10:14am Foto-aksent from Binkom, BelgiumHey Anita, I saw your portfolio. Amazing pictures! Great colors. This photo I like especially very much because of the symbiose of the colors. Just top! 10 Nov 2009 6:39am @Foto-aksent: Thank you! |
