CalendulaPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 23 June 2008 in Plant & Nature. Taken in my garden this evening. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Betty from New Jersey, United StatesLove the color of this flower, Anita! Beautiful. 23 Jun 2008 9:57am António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalYou are blending two worlds: Nature, through the nursing of plants in your garden; technology, through photographing flowers. I guess that will give you a sense of well-being. 23 Jun 2008 1:10pm Kerri from Blacksburg, United StatesWOW! My first thought was how beautifully ORANGE this is...and I remembered the orange popsicles that I used to slurp on as a child. Funny how things can bring back memories. 23 Jun 2008 1:14pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesBeautiful Anita - the detail is again just amazing, and the colors really come alive in your photo.... 23 Jun 2008 4:26pm Marcie from United StatesYou must have the most amazing garden. I really like your ability to get that soft background. 25 Jun 2008 1:19am David from Bryn Mawr, United StatesThanks for sharing the time of day -- I saw in the flower the setting sun. But, my mind (stomach?) also followed that of Observing from Local -- please pass the chocolates! Both reactions are evoked by your ability to capture the richness of the bloom. 26 Jun 2008 9:52am |
