I don't see this photo as a macro but rather as a portrait of a flower, a close-up.

I love the angle you chose for this - very different and extremely effective with the stem behind it. The colors are beautiful as well.

The angle/composition makes for a lovely meditation on the flower's common name. Neat the way the hairs on stem continue this theme.
