YarrowPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 5 June 2008 in Plant & Nature. Taken indoors with window light & tripod. I thank all who have visited recently. I am feeling better and hope to visit your blogs soon. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Monte Stevens from Fort Collins, United StatesVery soothing image. The colors and pattern show a calming mood for me. Well done! 5 Jun 2008 2:08pm António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalIsolated in the crowd. The image is very pleasant with variations of white going smoothly out of focus from the center of interest. 5 Jun 2008 5:54pm Marcie from United StatesOh..I never knew the name of these before. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesI'm really admiring your macro ability, Anita. 6 Jun 2008 12:15pm @Earnest: Why Thank You, Earnest! I think I'm growing as a macro photographer, which is quite fun. David Ross from Bryn Mawr, United StatesI'm used to thinking of Yarrow as that mass of flowers at the end of the stalk (too often growing where we don't want it). Thank you for letting me in on just how lovely the individual flowers are. Neat the way you've captured different stages in the emergence of the central blossoms within the white petals. 6 Jun 2008 3:41pm @dobbino: Thank you! |
