Clover 1Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 18 May 2008 in Plant & Nature. First in a series of photos of a little Clover from our meadow. Having fun with my new macro lens. :-) *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Koushiro~光子郎 from Singapore, SingaporeWow I love that soft focus there! Really great shot! You're really getting very good with your macro! Well done! 18 May 2008 10:29am @Koushiro~光子郎: Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm having a lot of fun discovering new worlds. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesThat's a close macro and the structure of the flower almost makes it look like a zoom effect has been applied.. most interesting. 18 May 2008 12:06pm @Earnest: Thanks. I liked the zoom look. In fact, I tried to apply a little bit of zoom in PS, but, it didn't look good, so, I left it as is. Betsy Barron from United Stateswooooo! I like the soft focus or wind blowing or zooming you did there - looks lovely! 18 May 2008 12:08pm @Betsy Barron: Thanks, Betsy. I didn't zoom and the wind didn't blow. It is just out of focus longer petals. My series will consist of photos with increasing dof. Betty from New Jersey, United StatesLove the focus and composition! Beautiful. Have fun with your new lens! 18 May 2008 1:37pm @Betty: I'm glad you lie it! I am. They seem floating in mid-air! 18 May 2008 8:22pm @standley: Thank you. If I'm not careful, all my flowers will start floating. Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesWow ... seems to be the preferred descriptor today ... but that's exactly what I said when this popped on the screen! So soft and luscious ... sweet shot, Anita! 19 May 2008 12:29am @Ron: Thank you so much, Ron. Wow is a perfectly acceptable comment. :-) Nataly from Santa Monica, United StatesLovely image!
