Dogwood Blossom

I took this photo 1 1/2 weeks ago when the Dogwoods were at their best.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Beautiful - I love the water droplets on the petals. My only critique is that the cropping is a bit tight to the petals. Nice colors and lighting.

I am fascinated by those little crimpings to the edge of each petal. And this is "only" dogwood!

I really like the isolation of the single bloom ... I've taken numerous shots of Dogwood this spring (in nature) and none really sing like this one ... they are truly beautiful and this one is exquisite!
