Wild Geranium 2

Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 9 May 2008 in Plant & Nature.

I'm posting this photo to show more of the plant--bud, stem, leaves--of the Wild Geranium macro I posted recently. (I don't think there was a bee in that photo, as the flower is too small, so it must have been some little insect.)

Taken yesterday at Ferncliff Wildflower Preserve, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA.

I appreciate all the comments on my last post. THANK YOU!

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

I love the colors - the deep purples..and deep greens. And - I've got a soft spot for raindrops!!
Nice image...
Thanks - as always - for sharing...

Really gorgeous, Anita ... so beautifully composed and technically excellent ... the DOF is perfect and the detail is exquisite ... the drops of water and the contrast of purple against green make this a very special shot!

I enjoy the way they seem to be shying away from posing (that's my usual response to a camera). Charming shot.
