Wild GeraniumPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 5 May 2008 in Plant & Nature. Taken last Thursday on our 6th weekly visit to Ferncliff Wildflower Preserve, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA. Each week we are surprised by new wildflowers blooming and the ones we saw the week before usually gone. Constructive critique welcome, as well as just a friendly visit. THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG! *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Marcie from United StatesLove this image. Without getting in really close..there's no way of knowing the magic that's hidden in a geranium's petals.! 5 May 2008 11:51am Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesThis one is a great photo, Anita. The glowing green at the center is wonderful. I must say that this appears to be a much larger flower than our local wild geranium. 5 May 2008 11:59am @Earnest: I'm glad you like the photo! The flower is not large, maybe 1 1/2-2 inches across. Ho9w big are yours?
