I love the center of this perky daffodil.

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Wow ... red hot! That little red ruffle and the tight crop really rock this shot! Beautiful work, Anita!

Super crop here and the middle seems to actually be coming out of the photo in 3-D if you look at it for a little while. Amazing shot.

@GJC: The petals on this daffodil actually do go back a bit, with the red and yellow ruffle sticking out in front.

Like the way you frame and compose your flower shots. Nice contrast here with the yellow and white. Great details in the center and love the soft focus.

This one did double duty for me. My first look picked up the dynamic of all all the lines feeding the center; so I saw the center exploding toward me -- a flower supernova.

My second look resonated with "Observing" from UK: I saw a handful of nuts in a paper serving basket -- the ideal springtime party favor.
