Daffodil 1

Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 21 April 2008 in Plant & Nature.

I thought I'd post images of the various daffodils growing in my garden Unfortunately, I haven't kept track of their names.

I APPRECIATE ALL THE VISITS AND COMMENTS ON MY LAST POST!

I welcome constructive critique.

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Flowers are your muse, and we're the luckier for it. You excel at these. Here the depth of rich color is wonderful and then rising above it the delicate, sharply delineated flower. An image of simplicity and yet great power.

This is the time of year for daffodils! I think I have at least 4 or 5 daffodil shots on Am3! Wonderful detail and composition - the bottom is a little dark for my taste - I can't make out the stem with all that dark green. I can't wait to see more of your daffodil shots!

@Chris: The photo is darker on AM3 than it was in Adobe Photoshop. I've had this probelm before, but haven't tried the fixes that were suggested.

I'd never before noticed the little spikes at the end of the petals. Once again, your macros expand my vision of the world.
