Tulip Leaf AbstractPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 20 April 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. This one is just for fun. I was playing around with different views of a tulip leaf and liked the design. MANY THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS ON MY RECENT PHOTOS! +++THANK YOU FOR VISITING+++ I welcome constructive critique. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Betty from New Jersey, United StatesI agree, I love the design! Very nicely done. 20 Apr 2008 11:01am Florence from Paris, FranceBeautiful macro and abstract at the same time... this green is so intense and DOF plays well its role... it really gives power to your picture. Thumbs up Anita ! 20 Apr 2008 11:12am @Betty: Thanks, Betty. I didn't even notice. How did you know? GJC from Kyoto, JapanIf this is "for fun" I can't wait to see when you get serious! :) Terrific. What I like about this is how the DOF and the line of the leaf draw us into the photo turning it from a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional one. Very cool. 20 Apr 2008 11:37am @GJC: Thanks! Maybe I should do more "fun" photos. :-) @Suzanne Labbé: Thank you for visiting and commenting! Chris from South Jersey, United StatesVery nice - did you add any post processing or is this how it came out of the camera? Wonderful composition (I like the strong diagonal element) and the colors are very "cool". 20 Apr 2008 12:49pm @Chris: Chris: Thanks! I always do some post processing because I shoot in RAW. On this one I did Levels, Color Balance (which I seldom use), Contrast, and Saturation. Scotfot from Kabul, AfghanistanExcellent effect, just right with the focus right on the tip 20 Apr 2008 3:47pm @Marie: Thank you for visiting! standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceWhat a wonderful abstract shot.
