CliviaPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 17 April 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Another from Longwood. THANK YOU ALL for the many wonderful comments on my last post. :-) I welcome all comments, including costructive critique. +++THANK YOU FOR VISITING+++ *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

GJC from Kyoto, JapanAgain and again, the flowers bloom for you. As usual, the control of light is perfect and this one even seems to whisper. Lovely. 17 Apr 2008 11:57am Brittney from California, United StatesSooo pretty. What a great and well focused close-up. 17 Apr 2008 1:36pm @Brittney: Thank you, Brittney. Thanks for visiting my photoblog. Russ from New Hanover, PA, United StatesThis is gorgeous. Definitely not the typical flower shot. This is so sharp that I can see the pollen on the anthers. Well done! Print it, frame it, hang it. 17 Apr 2008 3:39pm @Russ: Thank you for visiting and your positive comment! Observing from Chester, United KingdomFabulous Anita. Great focus, and lovely color. Excellent macro image..! 17 Apr 2008 5:02pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceSuperb macro composition. The colours are gorgeous! 17 Apr 2008 8:20pm Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesYou have a remarkable gift with flowers, Anita! This is just stunning! So soft and delicate ... I wouldn't have expected such soft focus from f/22. I have two potted Clivia (light orange flowers) sitting in my basement waiting to get outside ... this shot makes me long to photograph it! 17 Apr 2008 8:22pm @Ron: I'm not sure why it works with f22. It is a bit surprising. Thanks for your encouraging words. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomAnother outstanding close up shot Anita, it's really beautiful. 17 Apr 2008 10:37pm |
