Waterfall at Holtwood Environmental PreservePosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 10 April 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. On Saturday I participated in a workshop on photographing waterfalls. This is a little waterfall on a stream flowing into the Susquehanna River. It is part of 5000 acres preserved by the power company. A BIG THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL COMMENTS ON YESTERDAY'S PHOTO :-) THANK YOU for visiting!! *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

The detail in the rocks and moss is incredible and then that silky, flowing water just takes it over the top ... stunning. Wonderful color, lighting, and composition. The long exposure really makes it beautiful though - did you use a ND filter? 10 Apr 2008 11:15pm John Maslowski from Dallas, PA, United StatesBeautiful waterfalls shot. Love the silky water here. Great veiling effect and composition. 11 Apr 2008 10:06am GJC from Kyoto, JapanEveryone has already said, but what I especially like here is the angle you've chosen. Visually it's very interesting to see the different sections of the picture plane and how it rolls right to left and back. Very beautiful colors as well. 11 Apr 2008 1:17pm @GJC: Thanks for your specific comments. Our workshop leader took us to exactly the right spot for this photo. Teri Dignazio from Oxford, United Stateswowie -----i think a show at the Oxford Library is the least you could do to share your talent!!! 14 Apr 2008 3:43am @Paolo: Thank you for visiting!
