Hibiscus BudPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 9 April 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Back to Longwood Conservatory. I was attracted to the swirls, texture and color. I SO APPRECIATE ALL THE COMMENTS received on my prior photo. THANK YOU!!!! *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

@DeadPixel: Thank you for visiting and your positive comment. GJC from Kyoto, JapanThis is remarkable, but then I seem to say that every day here. What I like is (again) the DOF and the texture you've captured here, almost reminiscent of dried fruit. And how about that russet color! Very nice. 9 Apr 2008 12:40pm @GJC: I don't mind the praise. :-) saeeda from Tehran, IranAll of your photos are very beautiful, thank you for these nice shots ! 9 Apr 2008 12:44pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesFantastic use of DoF - the soft feeling of the out of focus elements of the picture match up great to the soft texture of the flower.
