Ahh, returning to the scene of an earlier crime! And I can see why. This, too, is great. I enjoyed going back and forth repeatedly between this and the other trying to decide which is "better" (a silly exercise, but . . ) And I can't decide. It depends on what you want to say. I like the angle you've taken here and I like the background wash on the previous one. Which is to say, they're both great.

Two of a kind. I prefer the first lily and the second background. But only the whole image matters and are both very, very good. They create different moods on the viewer, more optimistic the former, more subdued the later.

I agree with Antonio Pires's comments about the two Lilies. I'm more aware of the first as an image; the second as capturing the essence of the flower.
