Leaves in Ice

Sycamore and other leaves in frozen pond.
I used a tripod. I'm trying to keep track of when I use a tripod to determine if that improves my photos.

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Wow! Sugoi! (amazing!) The ice creates a beautiful grainy background in contrast to the clear leaves. I like it a lot!

Fabulous. Amazing what one can do with just one color (shades of red in this case) and pattern. Very well seen.

Great capture, Anita. Tripods are great, however sometimes they slow down my creative mania when I'm at a new place.

Oh, my gosh! I love this one.... the colors, the textures, the stilled moment captured in time yet destined to be eventually released again.
