This prickly week grows along roadsides and fence lines. It is an alien plant. The dry flower heads are marvelous in winter floral arrangements. I took this photo against the sunset.

Amazing capture and use of light revealing the details of this beautiful plant. The colors and DOF give an exceptional feel tot he image. Interesting how something we could easily overlook on a roadside or field can become something so beautiful. Like Chris said, "you took a weed and made it into a work of art" Nice find Anita.

Another Fantastic shot! It is amazing how beautiful "weeds" can be! I look at them so differently now that I've taken up photography.
