Another flower photo from Longwood Gardens. Unfortunately, I failed to write down the name of this beautiful white lily.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

A remarkable view, regardless of what the flower is called. This is really an eye-opening angle and the crispness really makes for an elegant photo.

Another one of your photos that works in stages on the eye: First, that slashing diagonal; then the play of shadow and light; then the wonderful textures in the petals. It's a photo that teaches me how to see. Thanks you.
