Winter Without SnowPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 6 January 2008 in Landscape & Rural. Our winters (near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) are mostly without the added beauty of snow or ice. The warm color is from the sun setting. This is a photo of part of the meadow and woods on our 15 acres. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Chris from South Jersey, United StatesNice lighting on the trees - with all that land you must have plenty to take pictures of. One good thing about winter is that the sunsets happen earlier in the day (although I have a tough time getting home from work in time to capture them). 6 Jan 2008 12:46pm Dang from Marietta, United StatesLovely warm tones for such a cold time of year. Beautiful! 6 Jan 2008 5:38pm Shawna from Regina, CanadaLack of snow is sometimes welcome here where I live. I have had only 1 Christmas without snow. Neadless to say we have snow this year. 7 Jan 2008 3:22am Paul Michko from United StatesGreat shot and light, Anita. Personally, I can do without the snow and the ice...and the cold and the dreary weatherand the short days. :) Basically if winter was just like summer, that would be ideal. 7 Jan 2008 11:53am David from Bryn Mawr, United StatesWell, I'll put in a vote for enjoying snowy days. But, this photo is a wonderful addition to the portfolio of winter scenes, which are dominated by black on white, or stark browns and greys. 7 Jan 2008 11:58am Photo Traces from Canadasimply beautiful, i love softness of the colors in general, well done 19 Jun 2008 9:28pm |
