Moon, Sycamore & BarnPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 26 December 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. The rising sun shines on a Sycamore tree and barn as the moon sets over the Rohrer farm. This lovely Sycamore has been preserved in one of the farm fields *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

I was so proud of myself. Kim from Newcomerstown, United StatesThis is gorgeous Anita! I love how you framed the moon with the tree branches. Great shot! 26 Dec 2007 3:10pm @Judit: Thank you so much! Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesI love the way the curve of the branches frames this scene. 26 Dec 2007 7:22pm @Laurie: Thank you so much!! David from Bryn Mawr, United StatesLaurie speaks my mind. This photo powerfully caused me to marvel how very differently ever object in it is reflecting back light from the same source -- the "rising" sun. 26 Dec 2007 7:44pm @scotfot: Thank you so much! Catherine from United StatesWow!! What an image...and What a magnificant tree!! Beautiful!! So glad I found your site...will be back for more beautiful breath taking images!! :0 27 Dec 2007 1:22am @Catherine: Thanks, Cat. I visited your site and enjoyed it. Left a few comments. Dang from Marietta, United StatesStunning framing using the tree, it's drooping branches work perfect. 27 Dec 2007 11:07am @Dang: Thanks! @Earnest: Thank you. Interesting that an Oklahoma morning and a Pennsylvania morning can look similar. @kamyar: Thanks! @Kerri: Thank you. @Simon Brauer: Many thanks! Ross from United StatesGreat photo! I love how the moon is framed by the branches. It would be cool to see a cropped version of the photo with only the moon showing and the branches framing it around the edges of the photo. 28 Dec 2007 3:29pm Steven from Montreal, CanadaI love the arches and the lighting! Your photos are very compelling! 30 Dec 2007 2:08am @Steven: Thank you, Steven, for your positive comments! Yakumo1890 from JapanThis is also delightful and dramatic. You have seen a good picture -- the first step in photography! -- and then matched it with the technical skill to pull it off. Without the tree, the picture would be a cliche, but with it, it becomes something so much more interesting. Thanks for sharing. 6 Jan 2008 10:58pm dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Stateswonderful framing work here. gorgeous. 16 Jun 2008 1:11am |
