This gorgeous Sycamore will be cut down when the bridge is rebuilt. Plans for a new bridge have been in the works for several years and no one knows when it will be built. In the meantime, I enjoy the Sycamore when I cross the bridge.
The pastures on both sides of the road and bridge belong to the Kirk Farm, which has been in the same family for 4 generations.

It's a shame that they will have to cut this tree down, since there seems to be room on the other side of the road to expand the bridge. Maybe they will change their minds. ;)

I dont' want to lose a single Sycamore or Buttonwood. I have a fabulous one on our farm. Perhaps you can study it with your camera - massive.
